To the mother of our future child,
There are no words strong enough to fully express the gratitude and respect we feel for you. Thank you for your courage, your trust, and your selfless love. We can only begin to imagine how hard this decision is, and we want you to know that we do not take it lightly. Your strength is incredible, and your love for your child is so clear in the care you’ve taken in choosing what you feel is best for them.
Should we be given the honor of becoming a part of your child’s life, please know that we will love them unconditionally. They will be cherished, protected, and celebrated every day. We will raise them to know who they are, where they come from, and the immense love that brought them into this world. You will always be a part of their story—and of ours. We will speak of you with love and gratitude, and we will make sure your child grows up knowing the strength and kindness of the woman who brought them into this world.

Our Story

2013
Our journey together began in 2013 when Jared was living in Rochester, NY, and Alexandra was living in Toronto, Canada. We met online and spent a year in a long-distance relationship, taking turns visiting each other’s cities. We explored new places, tried new restaurants, went to museums and sporting events, and spent time with each other’s friends and families. Between visits, we stayed closely connected through calls, texts, and FaceTime.

2014 & 2015
In October 2014, Jared proposed, and Alexandra joyfully said “yes!” We were married in 2015, and Alexandra moved to Rochester, where we began building our life together. Jared already had a close-knit group of friends, and Alexandra quickly bonded with their partners, making Rochester feel like home.
Soon after, we bought a home in Pittsford, NY—a warm and welcoming neighborhood filled with amazing friends who have become like family. We often gather for walks, dinners, celebrations, and even vacations together. -

2016
In 2016, we began trying to grow our family. After several heartbreaking miscarriages, we were finally blessed with our daughter, Mia.
Mia is our little firecracker—sweet, loving, energetic, and endlessly social. She can make friends anywhere she goes and brings joy into every room she enters. She loves animals and dreams of becoming a veterinarian one day—though she’ll need to get over her fear of worms first! (Snakes, on the other hand, don’t seem to bother her at all.) -

2023
Mia has been wishing for a sibling for a long time. After multiple pregnancy losses, we pursued foster care and, in 2023, welcomed a beautiful baby girl into our home. We all bonded deeply with her, especially Mia, but the placement did not become permanent, and saying goodbye was truly heartbreaking.
Still hopeful, we tried IVF and surrogacy, but sadly, our surrogate miscarried. After careful thought, we made the difficult decision not to continue down that path due to the emotional and financial strain.
Through all the challenges, our desire to grow our family has never wavered. Adoption now feels like the path we were always meant to take.
We have so much love to give, and we know in our hearts that our family isn’t complete yet. Whether it’s a newborn baby or a toddler up to 4 years old, we are ready to open our hearts and home to a child in that age range.
Our Family
I grew up in London, England, surrounded by the love and energy of a tight-knit family. With my parents, an older sister, a younger brother, and a big extended family full of cousins close in age, my childhood was full of laughter, adventure, and cherished traditions. Holidays were always a family affair, often celebrated with our signature tea parties, and summers meant camping adventures across France—often meeting up with my aunt who lived in Marseille.
My passion for dance led me to study it in college and pursue teaching certifications at dance school. That journey eventually brought me across the ocean to Toronto in 2007, where I began building my career in ballroom dancing and found a second home filled with new opportunities, an exciting career and wonderful friends.
Alexandra’s Family
I grew up in Rochester, NY with my parents and older brother. Baseball was a big part of our childhood—we both played competitively all the way through college. We were especially close with our grandparents, who took us on unforgettable trips to places like Africa. Those memories are something I’ll always cherish.
I have a small extended family, including a few cousins close in age. We had a lot of fun growing up together. Today, my brother lives in Manhattan with his wife and three kids, and my parents split their time between Florida in the winter and Rochester in the summer.
I’m proud to be the third-generation owner of our family business, which was originally founded by my grandfather back in 1965.
